BUILDING A COMMUNITY FOR EVERYONE.

Every year, we begin our campaign at zero. And, every year, the multitude of nonprofits supported by this campaign count on US to raise funds to support them. By doing this, local organizations providing service to individuals, children, and families in our region can concentrate on the incredible work they are doing for all of us... because all of us are in this together!

Support WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS!

Building a Community for Everyone

OUR MISSION IS THAT SIMPLE. United Way of West Central Illinois strengthens our region by raising funds, granting those funds to organizations and programs doing the good work, and collaborating with local stakeholders to improve resilience, well-being, and sense of belonging for every individual regardless of their cultural or socioeconomic background. Every year, we raise money for local organizations and programs that respond to a variety of needs in our region. We are responsible for helping local agencies succeed. And, we realize the power in giving a little collectively so that local agencies receive a lot.

Give & Feel Really Good - You Are Doing Something for Your Community!

We make giving easy! Whether it is a dollar or one-thousand dollars, every donation adds up to a lot of local support! What's more, it makes you feel really good!

tools to help you with local giving:

We invite you to use the tools below for either a workplace or a peer-to-peer campaign. Included below is a WORKPLACE PLANNING GUIDE,

a helpful INFOGRAPH THAT SHOWS HOW DONATIONS WORK, a UNIVERSAL PLEDGE FORM, a POWER OF A WORKPLACE CAMPAIGN AD,

and a TEXT TO GIVE AD for social media use. More information on why your donation is so important is also contained below in United Way of West Central Illinois' report on ALICE, which is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed — households that earn more than the Federal Poverty Level, but less than the basic cost of living for the county. While conditions have improved for some households, many continue to struggle, especially as wages fail to keep pace with the rising cost of household essentials (housing, child care, food, transportation, health care, and a basic smartphone plan). Households below the ALICE Threshold — ALICE households plus those in poverty — can’t afford the essentials.
