Len G. Everett was a renowned artist as well as a Kirkwood, Illinois native. He was a great supporter of the arts, as well as Warren County United Way during his lifetime. Upon his death in 1984, Len left a large bequest in our name. This bequest is held in an endowment administered by a local community foundation, which serves Warren County. In addition to funding all administrative salaries and fees, a portion of the endowment's income is given back to the community through the process of grants and special programming.
Pictured at right is Smithfield Foods' leadership and translation team. Smithfield has consistently raised a minimum of one-quarter of our entire annual goal! The annual campaign runs from August to February and includes company-initiated internal campaigns as well as tens of thousands of dollars coming from individual supporters.
We are thrilled to be able to work with local businesses on creative ways to raise community funds! Pictured are United Way board and staff members accepting a donation from Market Alley Wine (MAW) owners Sarah and Jeff Walters, who annually provide a percentage of Wine Club proceeds to our United Way! With great wine and special MAW Wine Club perks, what else is there to think about? For more on MAW's Wine Club, visit: https://www.marketalleywines.com/libations
